Mark Duffus

Mark Duffus has gained a wealth of experience over the last 30 years in the photographic industry. He is a respected and talented photographer who in 2014 won a first, second and third prize in the Commercial Creative category at WPPI in the United States. These awards join many other Australian awards that line his walls and have earned him the accolade of AIPP Master of Photography with 4 Gold Bars achieved in 1997, 2004, 2008, 2013 & 2016.

Mark was born in Melbourne (Australia) and moved to Queensland as a teenager where he studied at the QLD College of Art and graduated with a Diploma in Applied Photography in 1988. Unlike many photographers Mark has continued in his chosen profession and gained experience in every aspect of the photographic industry from black and white darkroom to a full commercial darkroom, from portraits and wedding photography to corporate, fashion, architecture and advertising photography.

Today Mark runs a full photographic commercial studio (Bespoke Studio) where he bases his business, however his love of Architecture and commercial industry often find him travelling throughout the country. The driving force behind Mark’s dedication to the industry is his vision and ability to make the ordinary everyday look amazing and shine. His professionalism and technical ability allows him to breeze through many challenges that others may struggle with. Working to a brief or adding his creative flair and advice to your project or assignment is all in a days work for Mark.

Professional speaking is also one of Marks many talents, touring Australia with a seminar series educating other photographers last year and more recently participating in forums at the AIPP Event and local AIPP get-togethers. He has also dedicated time to judging for the AIPP at local and national awards over the past 22 years. Mark has a wealth of knowledge beyond his years and loves to offer help other upcoming photographers offering them guidance and inspiration to guide them through many situations in both business and photography.
